Imagination and Visualization: similarities and differences
Be afraid of your desires, because they may come true
We know that the subconscious mind stores and perceives information with the aid of symbols. The subconscious mind combines symbols into images. Consequently, images activate the fragments of knowledge obtained from the P-Zone, as well as new knowledge that emerges in the course of human development.
Human consciousness is able to perceive images and unconsciously respond to symbols that compose these images. At the same time, the conscious action is primarily a manipulation of thoughts or words.
Thus, thinking processes are a linguistic adaptation of information, whereas the unconscious processes are a perception of information without interventions of language.
These dissimilarities between the subconscious and conscious mind explain similarities and differences between imagination and visualization. In both cases, we are dealing with a visual reflection of the required information. However, in the case of the imagination, we are dealing with envisioning active images in the subconscious mind. In the case of visualization, it is a mere reflection of our logical thinking.
For example, imagine a flower. Take your time. Now imagine a rose. What did you see? In the first case, imagination activates the image of a flower, as seen by the unconscious mind in the moment. Note it may be a spontaneous appearance of any kind of flower. In the second case, you see a logical reflection of a rose in your mind. This logical representation is refracted through the lenses/filters of your consciousness.
Symbols in the subconscious mind are brought out from the P-Zone by means of flow states and intuition. Imagination helps to read the information of the flow directly from the subconscious mind. Thanks to imagination, the understanding of great ideas comes into our world. It is through their imagination that famous leaders of science and culture describe their discoveries. One of the prominent examples of this is the finding of special theory of relativity by A. Einstein
Developing imagination is very helpful, as by doing this our logic and intuition converge. Whereas being involved in visualization is not desirable. Especially, picturing the fulfillment of one’s desires may lead to predominance of logic and intuition suppression.
The logical constraints of visualization cause deviations of the intuition from the flow states. This leads to our loss of informational waves, and thus, loss of the opportunities existing in our P-Zone. Visualization, however, can lead to the desired goal if the person’s willpower is strong enough and has a clear direction. Although this desired goal is unlikely to bring us the expected satisfaction.
In other words, the difference between the possible and desirable is similar to the difference between a flower and a rose that you have pictured. If you want to receive all that is possible from the P-Zone, then you must develop imagination and intuition.
